Qamar-ol-Moluk Vaziri
Qamar ol-Molouk Vaziri [1] (1905 , Takestan, Qazvīn Province — August 6, 1959, Tehran)[2] is Iran's "Queen of Persian Music" and a prominent vocalist and intellectual.
Qamar began her career when women were not allowed to have their voices heard by men. She used to spend all she earned on the poor. The national radio paid her a meager superannuation salary when she retired and she died in poverty.

- ^ Ghamar is a variant and common spelling of Qamar. Qamar is the Arabic word, which is fully adopted into Persian, for Moon. The literal translation of "Qamar ol-Molouk" is "The Moon of Kings".
